Auckland Council’s regional fuel tax of 11.5 cents took effect on 1 July 2018.
Whilst this tax will help to fund roading, public transport and light rail to ease congestion on Auckland’s roads, the impact will be felt right across the economy as the cost of moving goods increases.
As a courier business, fuel is one our biggest expenses and this increase will impact on the amount our driver’s earn, therefore we are reluctantly passing this increase onto our customers, which will effectively adds on 1% to the fuel levy, so the current 5.2% will increase to 6.2%.
